Cut each pita
in half and gently separate. Heat oil in medium skillet and sauté garlic
and pepper until garlic is golden. Stir in parsley and cook for 1-2
minutes longer. Drizzle garlic and olive oil mixture on pita halves and
bake at 350C for 5-7 minutes, or until pitas are warmed through.
Whole wheat
pitas are the perfect vehicle for a fresh tasting garlic - parsley
spread with olive oil - a refreshing change of pace from regular garlic
bread. Serve hot with soups and salads, or as an appetizer for any meal.
